To give the talented students a timely start towards their goals, we have introduced two courses (MathGenii and Aim-iiT) at the class X level. In these courses we will provide extensive study material in the form of well printed lessons for all topics. These lessons have been prepared by the VMC faculty. While preparing these lessons, our expert faculty has ensured that the approach is not bookish and the basics are presented in a straight-forward manner which is simple to understand.

The CBSE syllabus for class X is not specifically made for students who wish to opt for competitive exams. The level at the X standard is very easy in comparison to the level which the students face in various entrance exams. In order to bridge the gap, a student must be given a feel of the basics through easily understandable concepts and exercises. It is to accomplish this purpose only that we have designed these courses. Along with the Class X Mathematics, these courses aim at developing the analytical skills of a student which play a decisive role in attaining success at various competitive exams.
MathGenii
  • It is a comprehensive Mathematics course aiming to build a strong base for all those who want to pursue careers/exams such as: Engineering, Commerce, Economics, Science, Olympiad, NTSE,...etc after Class X and later aim for SAT, MBA entrance, GRE, GMAT and IITJEE.

  • The entire course is divided into five parts in the form of modules. Each module has well printed notes and exercises in the form of booklets, with detailed explanation for the topics, and these are sent to the student through courier. The Exercise section in these booklets serve the purpose of reinforcing the fundamentals.

  • There will be five ONLINE tests based on each module.

  • Three tests will be conducted during the course, so that the students can judge their performance relative to others.

Important Note:

This course has been throughly revised from this year. Acting on the feedback given by the students during the last few years, more stress has been laid on topics which are a part of class XI/XII, but need an early introduction to make things easier in the next two years. These topics include Vectors, forces, calculus etc. The number of classes has been increased, totalling more than 30 classes. The course starts from mid-May and goes on till the end of December.
AIM-IIT
  • This is a Classroom course for students who are aiming particularly at IITJEE.

  • This course is meant for those students who want to go in for the basics of IITJEE preparation at an early stage, apart from strengthening their Class X Mathematics base. Apart from all the study material and tests of MathGenii course, there will be 30 Classroom sessions.

General Information:
  • As MathGenii is a part of Aim-iiT, a student can join only one of these courses. Each course will start from Mid-May'08 and continue till January'09 end.

  • Students for Aim-iiT (Classroom course) will be selected only on the basis of their performance in the Admission Test to be held on 4th May, 2008.

  • Syllabus for the admission test is Class IX Mathematics only (Excluding Real Numbers, Statistics and Geometrical Constructions). The paper will contain subjective type of Questions and will be of three hours duration.

  • Students, who wish to join only MathGenii, can join the course (without appearing in Admission Test) from 15th May onwards.
