Dear VMC Students (Reg/ECC),
To help our students in selecting the best college/branch as per the possibility they hold, we will be conducting personal sessions after JEE and AIEEE results.

We will revert back with the counseling date and time at the earliest possible.
Note : These counseling sessions will be only for our Regular and ECC students. However, if any Correspondence student is also interested in getting one scheduled, he/she can send the info and depending upon the availability of slots, we may call them as well.

@really: that jus is a way of showin concern….n vm is really concerned abt ‘us’…n not the no of ppl who end up in the merit list (fiitjee toh extended bhi count karta hai)…they were with us b4 iit n they are even now…vmc counseling is aimed at our future not like fiitjee where they’d care a damn even if study in a melon! …there the sheer no is so pathetic that the students can hardly get ne kinda help …ABC jus highlighted that they havent forgotten us… although i do agree that there are better examples of vm’s ‘money un-mindedness’

vm should call corr. students too for the counselling as this will help them in deciding better branch acording to their ranks. I am also a corr. course student of vm.

Thanks to you sirs…Last year i had talked with munna bhaiya…i’m from correspondence, he told me if i get somewhere in 2500 it’ll be achievement for me…i got 3199!…it was disappointing since i scored 248, and many with that score have got 1355, 2852! (i don’t know how) but in the end i’m happy. Got rank 84 in manipal. Will send the mail for counselling after i get my AIEEE and UPTEC result 🙂

bhaiya, i hav got AIR 836 in jee. i hav mailed the required parameters to you. since, filling of choices is from 27th may , to 9th june, please give me an idea when i can attend councelling at vm as I don’t hav much idea of which stream and college i shd choose…..

avoid stuff with the word Bio in it unless u r dead sure u want to do research in it or are exceptionally interested in it .
also IIT Kanpur M&S.Comp course is almost purely mathematics and u cant take electives too liberally from CS / EE.
its counterpart at kharagpur math&computing has more Computer Science & programming oriented courses and flex to take plenty of electives from CS/EC . its one of the best placed departments ( almost all CS companies recruit from this if u r a good programmer , same held true for higher studies in cs ) . drawback is , the math dep faculty at kgp used to be not-so-good (not sure how it is now )

prash is right,avoid bio unless research….also the course has a lot of ratta(mugging up) and very less calculations so its tough for us people who have been just doind concepts for last 2 years….also textile is not a very good course as its not a mainstream engineering.i suggest u look for iit guwahati.i got 2700 rank this year and am considering guwahati very strongly….

I have got 4347 rank in jee and 10270 in aieee(state rank 985), should I take some branch in the new iit’s,or something in old ones,or see if I can get something in DCE???

Sir, I recieved your mail…i have my counselling session on 30th May at 3:00pm….sir i would not be able to attend that session on 30th as i am in PUNE….i will be back in delhi on 31st around 2:00pm……So sir if its possible can I attend the counselling session on some other date…I know it would be a little bit difficult as sessions have been arranged rankwise which allows for a group discussions….But Sir i have few major doubts about choosing the correct field..so sir please allow me to attend counselling session at some other date….
